Our 2022 Must Haves!
As we see another year come to an end it makes me think about all the businesses I have had the fortune to work alongside this year. I have put together a short list of the things that I think are the ultimate must haves as we go into 2022 and what I feel is great value for money.
First up on my must have is from the company Nosebagz. I have a foal that I have been feeding hay from the floor in his stable which was working well for him but it ended up making his bed a nightmare to clean and I was wasting hay daily. This company has developed a hay feeder that fixes into the corner of your stable. The design allows it to be breathable and flexible which were the 2 main things that made it stand out to me as it was a safe option.
They come in various sizes to fit all horses and ponies. The velcro strap design allows you to easily attached and remove the feeder which makes it easy to clean it out and keep the hay fresh.
Next up on our must haves is the new clothing line by KH Equestrian Wear, specifically their breeches!
These have been designed by a fellow equestrian so they have been put together with practicality in mind. They have 2 deep pocket capable of holding your phone and a full silicone seat. Great for those of us that like to have some sticky bum aids!
This brand has womans figures in mind and knowing that we come in all shapes and size they have a great sizing range.
Poll Position is my next must have for the 2022 season. Developed by training coach Sara Carew, this device lets you have a trainers voice in your ear at all times! Poll position audio coaching is a head set that fits comfortably with your riding hat. This little device can really help tailor a training session to you and your horse or you could even have it on whilst you go for a jog!
The headset has 3 modes;
Bluetooth – can connect to your phone, make calls and play music
Integrated FM radio – Great to have on when you are just need something in the background
Coaching Sim – This is where it truly shines, with over 100 minutes of recorded training sessions by Sara you can have a full training session which can be paused, skipped and replayed.
This links well with my next product for 2022, the biomechanics app by Blackdog Equestrian. This app was developed by a horse rider for horse riders, Dr Ilse Daly. Have experience in computer visions, machine learning and mathematical analysis, Ilse combined this with her love of horses to create a unique system that would help show riders that they are making improvements and it can help show you where your horse or yourself may be needing work. The app was designed to be used in partnership with trainers although it provides some training plans and schooling exercises.
How does it work? You simply film you and your horse on your phone, upload this clip to the app which will then analyse the movements and then you receive a detailed analysis of the rider’s position and the horse’s movement.
With all this riding you’re going to need extra clothes! A.R Equestrian have great base layers and riding leggings in a range of colours. You could go full matchy matchy or mix and match colours!
These are made from breathable stretch materials making them great for everyday wear. The leggings come with a useful phone size pocket as well!
Next up is the fantastic storage company Tidy Tack Rooms, these really are a must have for keeping all your things together and helping you keep the tack room tidy. This idea was the result of a passionate equestrian with a growing collection of matchy-matchy items piling up! We are all guilty of collecting way too many horse related things, I have 5 white saddle pads and 1 horse to fit them! Are you guilty?
These storage bags help bring order and organisation into your life. There really is a bag for everything! From saddlecloths to stable rugs everything has a bag it can be stored in. These are all handmade in the UK, the materials used are all high quality and even have a waterproof feature to help protect your items.
All that shopping and riding must make you quite tired. In 2022 why not treat yourself to a little break away?
The Views at Withers Farm is an Essex based retreat. They have self catering apartments within a beautiful country setting. They are the perfect little retreat for the country lover who likes to spend time outdoors.
So you have some new clothes, new tech, a tidy stable with a new hay feeder. Now you just need to bring your horse into your home! We would all love for them to be laying next to us whilst we watch tv in the evening but sadly this isn’t always possible so the next best thing is to have a photo of them as a piece of wall art! Throughout the year I have been investigating different suppliers and printers. I now have a line up of products for 2022 which are truly breathe taking and will fit into all styles of homes. Whether you are a modern simplistic design or you have a country feel in your house, I have options to suit everyone.
